Soft Voxels Lite - Lightweight Shader Pack with Path Tracing

Soft Voxels Lite Banner

This is the free version of the popular Soft Voxels shader pack, created with an emphasis on minimalism and high performance. The visual style is based on voxel rendering technology combined with path tracing, allowing for quality lighting with moderate hardware requirements. The system correctly reproduces colored illumination from various light sources. The absence of hard shadow maps makes sunlight and moonlight soft and diffused, creating a characteristic overcast atmosphere in open areas.

Key Features

The shader offers a range of capabilities for graphics enhancement:

  • Lighting based on path tracing technology
  • Temporal image upscaling (TAAU) with a default value of 50%
  • Dynamic fog that changes in real-time
  • Volumetric god rays processed in screen space
  • Screen space object reflections
  • Animated vegetation swaying in the wind
  • Support for resource packs with reflection effects according to the labPBR standard

System Requirements

The following software and hardware minimum is required for comfortable operation:

  • Optifine for version 1.16 and newer or Iris from version 1.5.0
  • Video card equivalent to GTX 1050/RX 560 or better (OpenGL 4.3 support is mandatory)
  • Windows or Linux operating system

For operation at 1080p resolution with standard settings, a video accelerator no lower than GTX 1660 or RX 5600XT is recommended. Important limitation: Intel HD 5000 and older graphics cards are not supported by the software. This is due to requirements for the computational capabilities of the graphics processor.
