Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between main and modded versions?
The main version has the most complete feature set but may not work properly with mods using complex rendering techniques. The modded version solves this issue through a completely different rendering approach, though it loses some effects. Choose the version that works best with your mod setup.
Incorrect transparent block rendering
Visual artifacts may occur when transparent blocks are placed behind each other (especially water blocks). Unfortunately, this limitation cannot be fixed.
Will shadows be added?
No. Implementing shadows would require rendering the world twice per frame, significantly reducing performance. Such performance loss is unacceptable for a lightweight shader pack.
Compatibility with Iris
Starting from Iris version 1.5 and Builder's QOL Shaders V2.10.0, the pack is fully compatible with this shader mod!
Settings for improving FPS
The most resource-intensive options are "Fancy Clouds" and "Blur". Disabling them will help increase frame rate.
Issues with Twilight Forest mod
Support for modded dimensions was broken in Minecraft 1.16. The issue has been fixed in Iris, but OptiFine has not yet addressed the situation. For proper functionality, Builder's QOL Shaders V2.11.0 is required.
