Wavy Water
Showcase
Since uploading the video above, the appearance of waves has significantly improved - now they look like real waves rather than just wiggling.
Description
This resource pack (not a mod or shaders) works in vanilla Minecraft. To use it, simply activate the pack. No additional installations or configuration changes are required, though optional settings are available within the pack itself.
The waves are generated using a simple algorithm: movement along the X axis is calculated as a sine wave, and along the Z axis as a cosine wave (both dependent on height, speed, and frequency), then averaged. The effect doesn't aim for realism but is meant to add depth to the base game.
How to Use
- Download and install the resource pack using standard methods
- If the effect isn't working, try disabling other texture packs. The pack is not compatible with the Sodium mod
- If you can't find the pack in the list, enable folder view in the bottom left corner (if you have recursive resources enabled) and search for it using the search bar
- To configure the pack without additional mods, open the resource pack file, navigate to
assets/minecraft/shaders/includeand edit theconfig.glslfile. Here you can modify three parameters to any numerical values
Project support is available through the author's Discord server where you can report bugs, suggest improvements, interact with the community, and get help with texture packs. There's also an open GitHub repository for bug reports, suggestions, and contributions to project development.
