Wabi-Sabi Structures (Datapack)
About the Datapack
📦 This is the datapack version!
The first major update for Minecraft versions 1.19 (final) and 1.20 (first) was released on August 7th, 2023. It brought over a dozen new structures, numerous balance changes, and additions.
In version 1.20, additional structures appeared, such as the bamboo firework launch site. Many existing structures now contain suspicious blocks for archaeological excavations - you can sift through rubble at concrete mill ruins, carefully extract contents from monster eggs, and find rare loot in gravel around basalt castles in the Nether.

Core Concept
Wabi-Sabi Structures adds a vast variety of new structures that generate throughout the Minecraft world. All are created following the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi-sabi" - embracing imperfection while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
Our structures organically complement standard Minecraft world generation with interesting little details. Expect to encounter everything from natural agricultural plots to cozy cabins, ruined stables, dangerous towers, ominous monoliths, underground eggs of mysterious creatures, and much more.
Features and Game Mechanics
Many structures utilize vanilla Minecraft mechanics to introduce players to these features or solve issues in the base game. For example:
- Forest tower demonstrating campfire lighting and extinguishing
- Factory ruins in the Nether with basalt generator
- Fruit orchard in the End with different note block instruments
Loot from some structures may include items otherwise unavailable in survival mode, but balanced without breaking the game.
Structure Collection
Currently, Wabi-Sabi Structures contains 58 unique structures:
- 51 new structures in the Overworld 🌍
- 6 new structures in the Nether 🔥
- 1 new structure in the End 🟣
Many structures feature variants, random loot, and blocks that significantly increase generation diversity.
