The Overlayed resource pack transforms the visual appearance of your Minecraft world by adding side overlays to snow and moss carpet blocks. It dramatically changes the visual perception of not only structures but also natural landscapes.

What changes in the game

New life for abandoned structures

Abandoned buildings now truly look overgrown and absorbed by nature. Moss covers surfaces more naturally and detailedly.

Snowy world becomes more diverse

Snow can now accumulate not only on grass—the surrounding environment acquires a more realistic and atmospheric winter appearance.

Technical features

Performance: Although original Minecraft models are less resource-intensive, this pack has been maximally optimized. On most systems, FPS drops are unnoticeable, but owners of weak computers may encounter slight performance reduction.

Graphical nuances:

• Small problems with z-buffer are practically invisible during gameplay (moss carpets produce less than a pixel of z-fighting when placed near each other)
• Lighting issues on low-emitting blocks next to overlay blocks—this is a rendering bug in the original version of the game

Recommendations: To fix lighting problems and improve overall FPS, it's recommended to use optimization mods.
