Features and Requirements

Before installation, it's important to consider the necessary components. For the correct operation of this resource pack, you'll need Outfox and OptiFine in combination with Forge. This is my first mod-supporting resource pack, while there's also another project without mod compatibility — Little Changes.

About Fox Diversity

This resource pack adds three fox variants from the Outfox mod for version 1.12.2 to the game: red, white, and black (in a special version for black foxes). These foxes are visually similar to the foxes from Minecraft version 1.14, including features like eyes, facial structure, and color variations. Red foxes are the most common among them.

Spawning Recommendations

Here are suggestions for fox spawning biomes, not directly dependent on the resource pack but useful for proper configuration. In the configuration file, it's recommended to specify biomes from the common spawning list: Taiga, Taiga Hills, Redwood Taiga and their variants, including Mega Taiga and Mega Taiga Hills. If Biomes O Plenty is used, add to the list common spawning biomes like Maple Woods, Redwood Forest, and its edges, Coniferous Forest, and Seasonal Forest. They will appear in the appropriate biomes after configuring properly.

As testing has shown, placing foxes in rarely-occurring biomes among a rare biome list yields negligible spawning odds and should be avoided. Additionally, for fans of variety in a realistic fox world, if you're using Outfox alongside Natural Baby Animal combinations, amend its files to influence uncommon mini fox cub configurations common in wild foxes.

Installation Instructions

Be sure not to unarchive the ZIP it this time—place the archived folder for the functional version of Minecraft in your Minecraft directory's "resourcepacks" location. Then load the game. Travel thru "Settings" to locate "Resource Packs," carefully preferring this accurate import you introduced to manifest itself with apt conduct than not any other after applying and the game rest area's delay pass.
