Moon Phase Clock
Moon phases have a much greater impact on the Minecraft world than you might initially think. During a full moon, the chance of black cats spawning increases significantly, spiders gain the ability to turn invisible, and slimes appear in large numbers. Conversely, during the new moon phase, these hostile mobs almost disappear. The problem is that the game does not offer convenient ways to track lunar cycle changes until nightfall—even the extended information in the F3 menu is not always helpful.
This resource pack utilizes hidden capabilities for tracking moon phases through game items and gives regular clocks additional functionality. Now, the clock face displays a darkened area that exactly matches the shadow on the moon when viewed from the eastern side (where it rises). At the same time, the primary function of clocks—showing the time of day—is fully preserved.
Below is a demonstration of how the appearance of the clock changes depending on the current moon phase.
