Maxi's JourneyMap Naturalist Icons

No animal going unnoticed.

This resource pack adds miniature icons for all creatures from the Naturalist modification that appear directly on the JourneyMap. Now during your journeys across land, sea, and sky you can easily track the locations of various animals. The resource pack is fully compatible with current versions of Naturalist.

Required Modifications

  • JourneyMap mod
  • Naturalist mod

Installation

  1. Download the Maxi's-JM+Naturalist-Icons.zip archive file
  2. Place it in the resourcepacks folder of your Minecraft installation. The easiest way to find this folder is to go to Settings → Resource Packs and click the "Open Pack Folder" button in the bottom left corner.
  3. In the game, select Maxi's-JM+Naturalist-Icons from the list of available resource packs (Settings → Resource Packs)
  4. Click "Done"
  5. In JourneyMap settings for the mini-map and full-screen map, set the "Mob Display" parameter to "Icons"

FAQ and Troubleshooting

Animals not appearing on the map

To see animals on the mini-map or full-screen map, you need to set the "Mob Display" parameter to "Icons" in JourneyMap settings. This setting needs to be configured for both mini-map presets and the full-screen map.

Settings enabled but animals still not visible

Make sure you have the latest versions of both JourneyMap and Naturalist installed. The resource pack only works correctly with current versions of the modifications.

Resource pack selection issues

Don't forget to activate the resource pack by dragging it from the list of available packs to the right column of active packs in the Settings → Resource Packs menu.

Changing icon size

Next to the "Mob Display" parameter is the "Mob Display Scale" setting. You can adjust this parameter according to your preferences, setting it separately for the preset you're using and the full-screen map.
