Resource Pack "Lanostry's wolves"
This resource pack significantly expands the variety of wolves in Minecraft by adding over 16 unique textures. The new types of these animals spawn randomly in the world or depending on specific biomes. Each appearance variant has its own name, with the full list available in the resource pack files.
A notable feature of the added wolves is their size — they are twice as large as standard versions from the vanilla game.:р
Compatibility and Recommendations
For optimal performance of the resource pack, you'll need to use Optifine or its alternatives: EMF (Entity Model Features), ETF (Entity Texture Features), and CEM. When using Optifine alternatives, minor bugs may occur that we cannot influence.
For the most comprehensive gaming experience, we recommend combining this resource pack with the "Domestications innovations" and "Meowing" mods, which improve interaction with wolves and make gameplay even more interesting.
It's important to install the resource pack version that matches your Minecraft version. For example, the version for 1.20 won't work in 1.21 and vice versa.
Naming and Customization System
You can give your wolves any names in any language. However, to change their appearance, you need to specify the texture number following the pet's name. A detailed example of how this system works and a complete list of available names can be found in the resource pack archive.
Important note: The naming functionality works exclusively in the Java edition of the game.
Future Plans
In the future, the developer plans to add unique sounds for large cats so they don't bark like wolves.
