Golden Days: A Journey Through Time in Minecraft

Golden Days is a collection of resource packs for Minecraft that transport the game back in time. They completely transform blocks, items, mobs, and even interface elements, drawing inspiration from older versions of the game.

Main Golden Days Base Pack

This is the primary resource pack designed for use in survival mode. It preserves all modern game features while keeping it fully functional. Here you'll find updated textures, lighting, sounds, and models - everything needed for an authentic immersion into the atmosphere of the past.

For the pack to work correctly, install it over the standard Programmer Art texture

Golden Days Alpha Addon

The Alpha addon introduces several important changes, the most noticeable being the legendary green foliage color from the Alpha version! For the best effect, install this pack over the main Golden Days Base.

Golden Days Classic

This addon aims to transform your game into the free classic version of Minecraft.

Golden Days Music

Inspired by SalC1's video about "The History of Minecraft's Music," this pack removes all modern music specific to biomes in the Overworld and replaces it with the good old tracks by C418.

Golden Days Picture Perfect

Created specifically for taking screenshots! This pack makes blocks like Granite, Blue Orchids, or Tall Grass resemble blocks from Beta and Alpha versions. Granite looks like stone, tall grass appears as regular grass, and much more! Not recommended for survival gameplay, as many blocks don't look as they actually are.

Golden Days Tweaks

This overlay pack is designed to be used over other resource packs to transform them into the style of old Minecraft. Doesn't work with all packs.

Supported Mods

The pack has extended capabilities thanks to some modifications:

Main Features:

• Custom colors (dyed sheep, text colors, potion colors...)
• Custom entity models (boats, Zombie Pigmen, Allays, Bats...)

Compatible Mods:

• Entity Model Features: Allows Golden Days to modify entity models
• PolyTone: Adds many resource pack capabilities (custom colors, block properties, etc.)
• Enhanced Block Entities (<1.21.4): Allows block entities to use JSON block models
• Colormatic (outdated, replaced by PolyTone): Adds OptiFine Custom Colors support

Pairs Well With:

• Nostalgic Tweaks: A mod for Fabric/Forge that adds many tweaks from old Minecraft
• Modern Beta: Brings back exact world generation from beta and alpha versions into the game!

For proper operation, it is recommended to install packs in the following order: over Programmer Art, then the main Golden Days Base, and if necessary, additional addons over it.
