Generation 8 — Resource Pack for Generations and Cobblemon

NOTE: This resource pack works ONLY with the Generations mod installed. It includes all necessary files to display Pokémon from the eighth generation in highly detailed models and makes them obtainable in the game. The resource pack is fully compatible with both Fabric and NeoForge versions.

Pokémon Models and Animations

Immerse yourself in the world of Pokémon in Minecraft with high-polygon character models. Our team developed a custom rendering system called RareCandy from scratch, which was created specifically for smooth integration with Cobblemon over more than two years. Each model features a complete set of animations: idle, walking, running/flying, attacking, resting, roaring, fainting, and expressions of joy!

Expanded Pokédex

Discover the vast world of Pokémon with Generations! We fully integrated all Pokémon generations—from the first to the ninth—into Cobblemon. How does it work? Cobblemon inherently contains basic data about all Pokémon species; our task is to activate them with the correct spawn data.

Installation Methods

We recommend installing ready-made modpacks that include everything you need—simply choose the version for Forge or Fabric and install with one click.

If you prefer manual mod installation, download all required dependencies and place them in the mods folder along with the main Generations files.

No configuration is needed—the resource pack is ready to use immediately after installation, but you can modify gameplay settings on the project's wiki site if desired.

About the Project

Our team inherited the legacy of the famous Pixelmon Generations mod for Minecraft 1.12.2, which was downloaded by millions of users over more than 6 years of development. Now, under the name Generations, we continue to improve the project by including all the best elements of the familiar Pixelmon Generations—adapted for modern Cobblemon and Minecraft.

Our entire wiki is open for collaborative editing, as we believe the project should be created by players for players. Welcome to Generations—we hope you enjoy it!
