Delight-map
Delight-map is a resource pack that makes subtle adjustments to Minecraft's lighting system, making it slightly darker and more realistic. The name is a play on words with "lightmap".
Features and Changes
The best way to understand what this pack does is to look at the image gallery:
- Block lighting from torches and other sources has become warmer and spreads less distance
- Sky light has a cool bluish tint and penetrates enclosed spaces significantly less, creating realistic shadows
- Overall brightness is reduced, but you can still set the brightness setting to 100% if desired
- In The End, lighting has become warmer instead of the greenish tint typical of the standard version4307af37-b797-4dec-91e3-3081bef51ef5. Starting from version 1.5, The End has become significantly cooler, with light spreading shorter distances, creating a gloomy atmosphere
Compatibility
The pack is fully compatible with vanilla Minecraft and works with Sodium without requiring additional mods. However, it will likely not function with OptiFine or Iris when shaders are enabled.
Recommended Settings
The developer recommends setting in-game brightness to 25-35% for optimal visual effect.
