🍹 Acclimate - C4Music Addon & Standalone Pack
Originally known as Minecraft Music - Revised, this project was created to make the in-game soundtrack more harmonious.
Acclimate represents a rework of the sounds.json file from C4Music, changing the placement, timing, and manner of vanilla Minecraft music playback.
💎 (Can be used standalone!)
While I strongly recommend C4Music for the full experience, this pack works perfectly fine on its own.
❓ What does this resource pack do?
Unlike C4Music, which completely removes post-1.17 soundtracks, this pack keeps them but carefully adjusts track distribution, aiming for balance with classic compositions. Special attention is given to melodies that seem out of place with the game's overall style.
After listening to the 1.17+ soundtracks, it became clear that only some of them truly stand out from the general sound - mainly music from version 1.19 and about half of the 1.17/1.18 tracks. C4Music completely removes new tracks, but if you want to give them a chance and gradually get used to them, overcoming so-called "nostalgia poisoning" (common among experienced players), this pack is what you need. You might be pleasantly surprised - for example, the track "Echo in the Wind" turned out to be extremely beautiful.
📜 Features
Thanks to MopsTMC's work, this pack adds several new soundtracks to the already selected compositions in C4Music.
-
Reworked biome music: Each biome now has its own unique set of compositions. The Nether, End, and Deep Dark have received minor adjustments and additions.
-
Balanced soundtrack: The weights of almost all tracks have been equalized, with some exceptions. There are fewer biome-specific tracks, but many biomes now share common compositions, while old soundtracks maintain a high probability of playing.
-
Menu music: The menu now plays suitable menu music instead of random update tracks. When used with C4Music, the track "Echo in the Wind" has an 8% chance to play; without C4Music - slightly higher.
-
Volume adjustments: The volume of many tracks has been adjusted, especially for music in the Nether and menu.
-
Other improvements: When used with C4Music, the Warped Forest no longer has music to preserve Mojang's original intent. The Deep Dark no longer uses Nether music, instead getting a small chance to play the "Boss" track at reduced volume.

🔗 Compatibility
📦 Other resource packs
When using as an addon to C4Music, place this pack higher in the resource pack list.
Acclimate is not compatible with other packs that overhaul music and provide their own sounds.json files. It's recommended to use only one such pack at a time.
To use alongside resource packs that add soundtracks to the vanilla ones and don't use the replace function in sounds.json, place Acclimate below such packs to register all tracks.
The Minecraft warning that the resource pack is made for an older or newer version can be ignored if the downloaded pack version supports your game version.
