Yellowbross's Extras is an entertaining side project that serves as a repository for the most diverse ideas that didn't find a place in my other modifications. The peculiarity of this mod is that many of its elements possess excessive power, so it's not intended for standard survival gameplay.
Defender
Yes, he's supposed to look like that...
Defender is currently in development as a boss. This enemy will probably become the most unusual creature I've ever added to Minecraft. It can be said that he will be the most developed mob in history...
The symbol ✸ denotes ultimate attacks that Defender uses only when reaching 0 HP.
Phase 1 - Weapons
Sword - A simple sword swing. Basic attack for this phase.
Axes - Defender throws several axes, dealing area damage.
Boomerang - Throws a boomerang that stuns targets for 10 seconds.
Buzzsaws - Creates rotating saws that knock back everyone nearby. Excellent crowd control method.
Spikes - Stomping the ground creates spikes, then jumping and landing spawns additional spikes.
Claws - Defender tosses the opponent into the air and attacks them, dealing significant damage.
Shuriken Launcher - Fires several shurikens that pierce targets and deal percentage damage.
Chainsaw - Shoots a chainsaw that ignores invincibility frames and deals extreme damage.
✸Excalibur - A rock and sword fall from the sky. Defender pulls Excalibur from the rock and starts spinning, flying toward the target. This attack deals colossal damage to everyone in the affected area.
Creeper Infection
A group of special creepers. These creatures attack everything they encounter, infecting targets upon killing them. Don't use them in worlds you care about if mobGriefing is enabled...
Sneaker - Has 3 variants: normal (weakest), super (red; larger explosion), and vortex (pulls mobs).
Paracreeper - A flying creeper head. The smallest explosion of all.
Crawler - A large creeper head on legs. Appears when infecting large mobs, has an enlarged explosion that spawns more Sneakers.
Freaker - The largest creeper with the most powerful explosion. Spawns Crawlers upon explosion.
Sprayer - Sometimes appears from ranged mobs, shoots mini-TNT to explode targets without self-destruction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be a port to (game version/modloader)?
-Yes, ports to new versions are coming soon. Unfortunately, I haven't learned Fabric, and code changes between updates mean supporting two different versions could significantly slow down update releases; one of my main goals is to keep up with the base game's updates, so backports are not a priority. I might occasionally fix bugs in older versions, but mostly new content won't be backported.
When will the update be ready?
-When it's ready. Modding can be challenging; I might get stuck fixing a bug, porting could become a major issue, personal circumstances outside of modding, such as studies, might interfere, anything could happen that makes specifying release dates impossible.
The game crashed! What should I do?
-Thank you for reporting the crash; it's extremely important for me to learn about crashes to fix them in updates. But to help you, I need additional information about the crash; most importantly, I need to see the crash report to understand what happened. Create a new topic about the crash, upload your crash report to a site like Pastebin, then attach the link in your topic.
Can I add this mod to my modpack?
-Absolutely! Though I ask that if you do this, you credit the authorship, either by mentioning me as the mod author or leaving a link to the mod page. The same applies to mob battles, mod reviews, etc.
