XP Ore

XP Ore is a modification that introduces special experience-generating ore into the game. It is designed to provide alternative methods for farming experience points instead of standard mob farms and encourages players to utilize process automation.

This mod adds up to 10 tiers of XP ore blocks that grant experience points when mined, then transform into a depleted version. The higher the ore tier, the more experience you can obtain.

The core concept is that pack developers can configure recipes to restore depleted XP ore back to its regular form (at any tier) by combining it with automatable resources. The more complex the automation of required components, the higher the tier of ore that can be obtained.

Using an automatic block placer, players can create a fully automated experience farm, considering the need to organize automation of transforming ingredients and the restoration process itself.

Mod Features

What this mod does NOT provide (currently)

• The mod does not add natural ore generation in the world. This is not traditional ore in the conventional sense, but rather a block with behavior similar to quartz.
• The mod lacks ready-made crafting recipes. Development is focused on individual customization for specific modpacks. Basic configuration for standard gameplay may be added in the future.
• Without additional configuration, the mod won't be useful as there are no ways to obtain XP ore in its standard form.

Configuration

Three configuration options are available:

• Number of ore tiers: can be configured from 0 to 10 different tiers.
• Base experience value: the amount of XP provided by first-tier ore.
• Experience increase modifier: the value by which XP amount increases with each subsequent tier. If the base value is A and the modifier is B, then Nth-tier ore will give A + B(N - 1) XP.
