XPlus Autofish (Fabric/Forge) - Automatic Fishing for Minecraft
This is an updated version of the popular MrTroot's Autofish mod, adapted to work with Minecraft 1.20 and above, and supporting both Fabric and Forge/NeoForge versions of the game.
Both mods - the original and this one - are distributed under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 3.
Installation Requirements
For Fabric versions, installation of Fabric API and Cloth Config API is required. If you use Forge, only Cloth Config API is needed.
How Automatic Fishing Works
Everything is extremely simple: just cast the fishing rod into the water once, and the mod will automatically hook the fish at the right moment, then recast the tackle after a short pause. A hotkey (default - V) is provided for accessing the settings.
Settings and Capabilities
The mod offers a flexible configuration system:
- Autofishing - the main function that can be quickly turned on and off
- Multi-rod - automatic switching to the next fishing rod in the hotbar, allowing for extended fishing sessions
- Break protection - the system ignores almost broken rods, preserving your enchanted tackle
- Persistent mode - the rod is always in a cast state with automatic recasting every 10 seconds, which is especially useful on servers with lag or plugins that clear hooks
- Sound-based detection - in multiplayer, sound detection is used instead of movement, although proximity and other players' hooks may affect accuracy
- Recast delay - adjustable interval between hooking and the next cast
- Lag clearing pattern - some servers clear entities (including fishing hooks) to reduce lag and send a chat message. When the specified pattern matches, the mod automatically recasts the hook
