Wynncraft Dynamic Weather

A client-side mod specifically designed for the Wynncraft server that adds a dynamic weather system.

Features

Random Weather Events!

Various weather conditions can occur in different regions of Wynn: rain, thunderstorms, snowfall, and sandstorms. For example, Nemract and Galleon's Graveyard experience frequent rainfall, the Nesaak and Lusuco tundra regularly receives snow and blizzards, while the Almuj desert suffers from dust storms and sand whirlwinds. Over a dozen regions feature unique weather conditions and associated hazards.

Technical Capabilities

The mod consists of several key components:

Command

/wynnweather clear/rain/thunder

This command allows you to forcibly set a specific weather type. When set to rain/thunder, the game will maintain this state until disabled. In clear mode, the standard weather system is activated.

Weather Engine Each game tick calculates the probability of weather events starting. In most areas, the chance is about 20% per game day, but this varies by region. For instance, Nemract has a 75% chance of rain.

Weather Overrides The mod configures weather conditions for specific regions to display the correct particles. In some zones, such as the Volcanic Isles and Molten Heights, rain doesn't fall at all.

Dependencies

Required for the mod to function:

  • Fabric API
  • Cloth Config API
  • Barriers Don't Block Rain

Recommended to install:

  • Particle Rain (for displaying sandstorms in Almuj)

In Particle Rain settings, it's recommended to disable rain particles and enable standard weather display.

Important Information

The mod is in early development stages. If you notice any bugs, please report them. Any suggestions for improving functionality are also welcome.
