Overly Realistic

Overly Realistic is a modification and datapack that fundamentally changes Minecraft's gameplay, making it as close to reality as possible. The project is inspired by human evolution and creates conditions where solo survival becomes nearly impossible, encouraging players to form tribes for collective progress.
Key Features

Character Changes
- Realistic weakness: reduced interaction range, movement and attack speed, damage, and block breaking speed.
- Genetic randomization: upon spawning, players receive random modifiers (speed, strength, height, and other attributes).
- Temperature system: depends on biome, altitude, weather, and other factors. Overheating or freezing causes damage.
- Stamina system: consumed when running, jumping, and attacking. Zero stamina slows movement and attacks.
- Thirst system: requires regular consumption of clean water. Dirty water can cause illnesses.
- Slow natural regeneration: depends on thirst, temperature, hunger, and location.
- Statuses: display health condition (healthy, hurt, seriously hurt, ill, unwell, dirty, bleeding).
- Illness system: chance of getting sick increases when in contact with dirty blocks, low health, and other conditions.
- Physical trauma: falls and damage from creatures can permanently weaken the character until death.
- Hygiene: affects the likelihood of diseases. Improves in water.
- Mental health: low levels cause hallucinations, random effects, and damage.
- Macronutrients: proteins, carbs, and fats require a balanced diet to avoid debuffs.
World Changes
- Extended day/night cycle: full cycle lasts about an hour.
- Realistic block placement: blocks fall without support.
- Structures disabled.
- Leaves break under player weight.
- Torches and campfires ignite flammable blocks.
- Overhauled campfires: limited burn time, visible smoke.
- Puddles form during rain.
- Slowed plant growth and random ticks.
Mob Changes
- Phantoms do not spawn.
- Animals are stronger, faster, and often aggressive.
- Mobs have stamina and "smart fear."
- Horses require feeding before taming.
- Spiders and bees are smaller.
Cosmetic Changes
- Player names hidden.
- Critical F3 information disabled.
- Visual effects: blood, smoke, sweat and breath particles.
- Death messages and locator bar disabled.
New Items and Recipes
- Fire starter, sharpened bones, stone hatchet, bandages, spears, waterskins.
- Overhauled recipes: tools require leather and strings, furnaces require bricks.
- New forging system for iron tools.
- Added blocks: baskets, tanning racks, preparation plates, dry tinder.
Drop Changes
- Logs can only be harvested with an axe.
- Animals drop hides, bones, and meat.
- Crop yields reduced and biome-dependent.
- Ores have a chance to drop cobblestone.

- Deity command:
/function overly_realistic:general/godhood/set_as_deity.

For Developers
The project includes function tags for integration, such as #overly_realistic:general_loops/main_1t and others, allowing connection to various modification mechanics.
