Wild Lands
Wild Lands is a vanilla-styled modification that expands the Minecraft world by adding new biomes and diverse wildlife. The mod seamlessly integrates with the original game, offering interesting behavioral features for the added animals.
Main Features
Currently, the mod includes:
- 2 new biomes
- 11 new creatures
- 3 new tree types
- And much more!
New Biomes
Burnt Forest — a gloomy location with unique atmosphere.
Bayou — a full-fledged wetland biome with characteristic vegetation.
Animal World
Catfish — a solitary fish that tries to avoid players.
Alligator — a large crocodilian creature. Baby alligators are timid and can be caught in a bucket, while adults warn with a hiss before attacking.
Crabs — usually avoid contact with players, but combat varieties with large claws may attack.
Frogs (for versions before 1.19) — hop around the terrain, like to sit on lily pads. Their tadpole offspring can suffocate out of water.
Hammerheads — circle around prey before attacking, may target undead mobs.
Anchovy — small fish.
Octopus — camouflage with the bottom when frightened, swim away quickly when attacked.
Sea Lion — swim in the sea and catch fish. If fed anchovies, they may leave items for the player.
Jellyfish — swim randomly in the ocean. Player proximity may cause stings that deal damage while the character remains in water.
Grizzly — actively search for berries, salmon, and honey. After consuming enough food, they go into hibernation.
Technical Requirements
The mod requires TerraBlender (Forge) to work on version 1.19.2.
