Weather Storms & Tornadoes

Weather conditions are now localized! You'll be able to watch rain clouds and powerful storms approaching from a distance.

Destructive tornadoes spawn in the world, forming from dynamic weather systems. Clouds accumulate moisture over water bodies and humid biomes, causing localized precipitation in specific areas. The mod also adds snowstorms and sandstorms that create the atmosphere of real natural disasters.

The front system uses temperature differences between biomes to generate intense storms. Standard clouds are replaced with particles that constantly move and change shape. Rain and snowfall are also converted to a particle system that realistically sways in the wind.

The visual appearance of storms is significantly improved compared to previous versions of weather mods. For protecting your builds, a special deflector block is added that can divert storms and prevent block damage.

Weather monitoring tools include a wind vane showing wind direction and an anemometer for measuring air flow speed. A tornado sensor is also available that activates redstone signals when a tornado approaches.

The environment is enriched with various particles: falling leaves, wind gusts, plant elements, and much more. Trees make characteristic sounds when swaying in the wind. An additional option allows enhancing snowfall with gradual snow accumulation, though this feature is disabled by default due to high memory consumption.
