Wader - Turn Flowing Waters Still
A simple but effective modification targeting a specific gameplay mechanic: it removes the pushing and dragging effect that Minecraft's physics imposes on the player when they attempt to move through flowing liquids. No longer do you wrestle with currents while crossing rivers, lakes or diving into underwater cave channels.
The implementation is concise: the mod changes system behavior by making Player.isPushedByFluid() always yield false - that minimal tweak governs the entire process.
When does this matter? Used alongside add-ons that simulate realistic currents in seemingly calm pools (inspired by multiple separate developments authored by multiple sources), focus transitions from fighting the environment back to building, mining and creating. Water acts as a uniform substance for your advancing interests.
Image scenario: flowing streams become stepped over waterways minus the exertion. Power through waterfall aftermaths, ship ruins or aquatic caves truly at liberty, exactly like the calm visual presence that embodies the genre harmony – graphics and loop retention align under your in-game execution intent.
