Vivid Birds - Living Bird World

Important Information! Vultures are not broken - they simply disappear in peaceful mode like other mobs. Breadcrumbs work correctly - most birds only eat them when thrown on the ground. Penguins function normally - they take damage in warm biomes unless light level is reduced. These are not bugs, but mod features! ;)

This mod adds diverse birds to Minecraft, created based on numerous forum suggestions.

Lyrebirds

These harmless birds can mimic sounds and might scare you with explosions or monster voices. They can be bred with melon seeds, turning them into cute pets - each bird has its own unique sound collection. Interesting fact: they have different sounds for normal state, taking damage, and death!

Ostriches

Useful farm animals inhabiting savannas. Provide feathers, leather, and meat, and can be ridden (saddle required for now). They even duck to improve bow shooting! However, they defend against monsters and players, so don't anger them.

Vultures

Dangerous birds easily scared away while you're healthy. But be cautious when weak - they sense vulnerability and attack at the worst moments! Deal small damage, but dirty beaks can infect with poison or weakness. Also love picking up meat and can completely loot you.

Penguins

Cute birds of cold regions. If you're ruthless or hungry enough, they become excellent food source - can drop up to three pieces of wild bird meat. Love fish!

Sparrows

Small forest inhabitants singing all day long. Limited interaction - just listen and feed with breadcrumbs.

Seagulls

Sea birds of beaches and oceans, sometimes dropping fish. Love breadcrumbs. Future plans include catching fish from ocean surface.

Kiwis

Night birds of dense biomes, mostly running from danger. Timid creatures avoiding sunlight. With careful approach, can be fed with breadcrumbs or melon seeds, bred as food source with any seeds. Sometimes drop melon pieces.
