VillEdit - Create Your Own Unique Villagers
This data pack was inspired by the work of CommandGeek: https://youtu.be/MmDHKOZLkBc
About the Features
VillEdit is a data pack that opens up the possibility for you to create and customize personalized village villagers. Thanks to the intuitive interface, you can change the profession, biome, development level, trade offers, and even the name of your character in just a few minutes. Upon completion of customization, you will receive a spawn egg that allows you to place the created villager anywhere in the game world.
Usage Guide
Activating the Editor
Place a chest on the ground, then use a villager spawn egg on its top part (sneak and right-click the top of the chest). This action will create a Villager Editor. To open the settings menu, right-click the barrel.
Working with the Editor
Open the barrel interface and use the available buttons for configuration. When hovering over each button, a tooltip appears describing its function. The following appearance parameters are available:
- Profession change
- Biome modification
- Level adjustment
- Enabling/disabling static mode (NoAI)
- Glow activation
- Silence mode
- Setting a custom name
Adding Trade Offers
Click the green "Add Trade" button to create new trade offers. In the opened menu, place the necessary items in the corresponding interface slots. For a trade to work, at least one exchange item and one result item are required. Additionally, you can configure whether the player receives experience for completing the trade.
Removing Trade Offers
To remove the last added trade, use the redstone button. Double-clicking the redstone block will completely clear the list of all created trade offers.
Saving and Exiting
After completing the configuration, open the editor and press the save button. You will receive a spawn egg for your unique villager. This egg can be used at any time and in any location, but it is recommended to store it in a safe place. The spawn egg retains its functionality even after the data pack is removed. The item description (when hovering over it in the inventory) displays all information about the configured villager.
To remove the editor, simply break it.
