Villagers on Strike

The Villagers on Strike mod addresses the issue of overpowered villagers in Minecraft. These traders often disrupt game balance, allowing players to progress through development stages too quickly and create entire trading halls where almost any item can be obtained almost for free.

This datapack completely disables the trading system with villagers. When trying to exchange with them, they sadly shake their heads, refusing any deals. However, all other village mechanics continue to operate in normal mode: raider raids, villager farming, and other aspects retain their functionality.

Important clarification: The mod only affects standard village inhabitants of the game. Wandering traders and characters from other modifications continue to trade as usual.

Technical point: The datapack's method of operation is such that its removal will not restore previous resident deals. Instead, all traders will get completely new exchange offers.
