Villager Workers
Hired workers to automate your village!
The Villager Workers mod allows you to hire villagers to perform various tasks including resource mining, agriculture, and animal breeding. Workers have their own inventories, can store items in chests, and possess many other useful features.
Special attention deserves Traveling Merchants who can follow predefined routes, use horses and boats for transportation, and are compatible with the Small Ships mod. All parameters can be configured to suit your playstyle, and developers are constantly adding new features!

- Merchants travel along preset waypoints

Usage Guide
Hiring and Managing Workers
- Purchase profession blocks from a farmer, fisherman, mason, wandering trader, or shepherd (villager must be level 2)
- Place the profession block and wait for an unemployed villager to adopt the profession
- Hire a worker by right-clicking with emeralds
- Ensure the worker has enough food in inventory
- Assign home, bed, and chest to improve efficiency
- Tool upgrades affect work speed
Worker Interaction
- Right-click: make worker follow you
- Crouch + right-click: open worker inventory
Profession Details
Miner
- 8 mining modes (Tunnel, 3x3 Tunnel, Flat 8x8x1, Pit 8x8x8, Room 8x8x3, Flat 16x16x1, Pit 16x16x16, Room 16x16x3)
- Places torches if available in inventory or chest
- Starting block assigned through Command Screen
Lumberjack
- Work position assignment via command screen
- Searches for trees in 10-block radius
- Replants saplings if available
Farmer
- Starting block assignment via command screen
- Works 9x9 field, plants seeds, and harvests crops
- Manages seed inventory for replanting
Fisherman
- Work position assignment
- Searches for water sources in 8-block radius
- Can use boats for fishing
Shepherd
- Work position assignment
- Searches for sheep in 10-block radius
- Breeds or slaughters to maintain target count
Chicken Farmer
- Work position assignment
- Searches for chickens in 10-block radius
- Breeds or slaughters to maintain target count
Cattle Farmer
- Work position assignment
- Searches for cows in 10-block radius
- Breeds or slaughters to maintain target count
Swineherd
- Work position assignment
- Searches for pigs in 10-block radius
- Breeds or slaughters to maintain target count
Merchant
- Creation of up to 4 customizable offers
- Travels along predefined waypoints with return days setting
- Two waypoint types: ground and water
- Merchant acts as active chunk loader
Owner Screen
- Configuration of routes and travel timing
- Start, Stop, Return, Auto-Restart buttons for movement control
Customer Screen
- Trading with merchant using inventory-based goods
- Example: 4 cooked mutton for 1 emerald
Creative Mode
- Toggle merchant modes: Owned or Creative
- Creative mode removes limits and disables income saving
