📦 About the Modification

The Item Variants mod provides alternative versions of existing items using the updated crafting system from version 1.21.5. For example, you can now craft a stone sword using deepslate or blackstone, but it will visually appear as if made from regular stone.

This version is compatible with Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, and Quilt — all using the same file!

✨ What's New

Added over 50 textures, including variants for wooden and stone tools. All crafting recipes are pre-configured, so you won't need to manually adjust components — everything works immediately and hassle-free.

⚠️ Important Notes

For maximum compatibility with other mods, vanilla recipes remain unchanged. Because of this, crafting sometimes may yield standard items instead of those added by this modification. A datapack version is planned for the near future that will address these issues, but it will be optimized only for vanilla gameplay and isn't recommended for use with mods that affect crafting recipes.
