Travel Huts
Travel Huts creates an extensive network of teleportation points for multiplayer servers, allowing players to cover vast distances without using instant teleportation.
How the System Works
The mod automatically generates a network of special structures — "huts" — throughout the world. Each hut contains four portals that connect it to neighboring structures. This provides the ability to travel long distances while maintaining the feeling of natural movement in the Minecraft world.
Solving Overpopulation Problems
On many servers, players often cluster around the spawn point, leading to rapid resource depletion in that area and making it difficult for newcomers to establish themselves. Travel Huts solves this problem by evenly distributing players across the entire map and providing access to untouched territories.
Technical Features
In versions 1.11.2 and 1.12.2, huts are built from special glowing glass that cannot be obtained as an item. For version 1.10.2, compatibility with Ender IO is provided — if this mod is installed, its transparent glass is used; otherwise, regular glass without lighting is applied.
Configuration Settings
- Floor material:可以选择 between bedrock or obsidian
- Teleportation mode: instant or "roller coaster" with arcing movement
- Distance between huts:默认 320 blocks (configurable)
- Special mode: for Sky Block-style maps, center blocks are replaced with dirt with saplings
Important Notes
In "roller coaster" mode, there is a small risk of getting stuck in spectator mode if the server crashes. If this problem occurs frequently, it is recommended to disable this mode.
Destroyed huts can be restored using the /regenHut command executed by an operator near the structure's location.
For proper world generation, the configuration file must be placed in the server's appropriate folder in advance. The mod is also fully functional in single-player mode.
