Trails and Trips
Main Information
This datapack significantly expands movement capabilities and interactions with various mobs in Minecraft. Compatible with vanilla version and Spigot/Paper servers.
ATTENTION for PaperMC and PurpurMC server owners: For proper operation, you need to set the "allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards" parameter to true in configuration files.
New Game Rules
All game rules are enabled by default and can be changed via commands:
- /scoreboard players set #mcs_trails_and_trips mcs_trails_and_trips.. (0 or 1)
- /function gamerule:mcs_trails_and_trips/list
Available game rules include improvements for horses, camels, zombie horse spawning, entity transportation, new potions, and much more.
Enhanced Mobs
Horses and Camels
Horses are 50% faster, don't dismount riders in water, and take less fall damage. Horse statistics are displayed on the saddle. Horse armor can now be enchanted and loses durability when taking damage.
Zombie Riders
With 1% chance, instead of a regular zombie or drowned, a zombie rider on a horse appears. During thunderstorms, the chance increases to 5%. There are two variants: zombie with enchanted iron gear and drowned with golden equipment and trident.
Camels
Camels can transport leashed mobs. For transporting villagers and wandering traders, an emerald or emerald block is needed. Camels are 90% faster, take less fire damage, and can overcome obstacles up to 2 blocks high.
Undead Horses
Skeleton horses move faster on soul sand, while zombie horses move faster in water. Zombies and skeletons can ride undead horses without saddles.
Sniffers
Sniffers have 75% chance to find ancient seeds, 35% chance for extra flowers, and 5% chance for trail ruins treasures. They can also find maps of nearby structures (1% chance) and dig in various blocks including sand, gravel, and sculk.
Llamas
Llamas can transport various mobs when they have a carpet and no chest. Available transportable mobs include cats, chickens, cows, foxes, frogs, and many others.
New Potions
Create unique potions in a warped wart cauldron:
- Fill the cauldron with water
- Add a warped wart block
- Place a magma block underneath
- Throw potion and ingredients into the cauldron
Available potions include:
- Potion of Haste (from torchflower seeds)
- Potion of Hunger (from pitcher pod)
- Potion of Glowing and Night Vision (from torchflower)
- Potion of Blindness (from pitcher plant)
Use gunpowder to create splash potions, dragon's breath for lingering potions, redstone dust to increase duration, and glowstone dust to enhance effects.
Treasure Maps
Treasure maps now display destination coordinates in the HUD when holding the map in the main hand.
