About the Mod
This mod seamlessly integrates into Minecraft's lore, making the early game more challenging and encouraging players to use powered, magical, and bioluminescent light sources. The open source code is built for Fabric but also works on Quilt. Requires Fabric API and owo-lib to function.
Key Features
💡 Full dynamic lighting support with LambDynamicLights
🌧 Candles and torches extinguish in rain
⏳ Campfires, candles, jack o' lanterns, lanterns, and torches burn out over time
🔥 Ignite unlit torches during adventures using fire, lava, or flint and steel
🏊 Wading in water or getting rained on can extinguish jack o' lanterns, lanterns, and torches
💪 Glowstone lanterns and torches for mid/late-game - waterproof and permanent
🧯 Torches, lanterns, and jack o' lanterns extinguish in chests (disabled by default)
👷 Villagers prevent extinguishing in a configurable radius - villages won't go dark anymore
📄 Flexible configuration via config files or settings menu with Mod Menu
Compatibility
Works with most mods that don't aggressively modify torches, lanterns, campfires, candles, and jack o' lanterns. Incompatible with Hardcore Torches.
