Torch Optimizer

Mod Description

The Torch Optimizer mod displays numerical light level values on block surfaces, making it much easier to place torches and other light sources for maximum protection against hostile mob spawning.

Usage Instructions

To activate light level display, use the F7 key (assignment can be changed in control settings). The Shift + F7 combination toggles natural light calculation, while Ctrl + F7 controls overlay display in versions 1.12.2 and below.

In versions up to 1.12.2-2.0.4:

• , (comma) key increases optimal torch position by one
• . (period) key decreases optimal torch position by one

In versions 1.12.2-2.1.5 and newer:

• [ (left bracket) key increases optimal torch position by one
• ] (right bracket) key decreases optimal torch position by one

Main Features

When the optimizeEnable option is enabled in configuration, a star-shaped marker appears on the ground at position number 2. The marker position can be adjusted in the range from 0 to 15 for different light sources.
