Tinkers' Steelworks

This mod is a comprehensive expansion for Tinkers' Construct that introduces completely new material processing concepts for both early and late game stages. The main focus is on steel production, but it also adds unique tools, utilities, items, mobs, and much more.

The Art of Steelmaking

Steel shouldn't be an ordinary material that can be obtained in a simple furnace. The process of its creation is a true art form that requires careful planning, precise calculations, and a special enclosed chamber capable of withstanding temperatures exceeding the heat of hellish creatures.

The High Oven: More Than Just a Smelter

The High Oven is a multi-block structure for melting raw materials into liquids. But don't rush to compare it to a regular smelter! This device operates on a completely different level and requires a special approach to fuel.

Unlike standard solutions, this furnace rejects ordinary lava as unstable and unpredictable fuel. Instead, it uses only one type of fuel - charcoal or charcoal blocks, which ensures precise control over the chemical processes inside the chamber.

The High Oven's special feature are the dedicated slots for various operations:

• Oxidizers
• Reducers
• Purifiers

While the names might sound complex, in practice everything is quite simple: use gunpowder, redstone, and sand respectively to achieve the desired results.

Where to Begin?

Accessing the new capabilities will require some patience and skill. Start by coating clay bricks or blocks with molten seared stone. An alternative method is to apply molten seared stone to the "Materials and You" manual, which will reveal the book's hidden content.

If you're already familiar with Tinkers' Construct, the next step won't come as a surprise. For creative mode, there's a special tab in the inventory.

Additional Features

The mod offers rebalanced recipes for classic items like the anvil and flint and steel, making their acquisition more logical and consistent with the steelmaking theme.

Also included is support for Forge Microblocks and special recipes for the chisel, opening up additional possibilities for construction and decoration.

Known Issues

• Incompatibility with casting channels
• Minor visual artifacts when displaying temperature during liquid drainage
• Incorrect fluid level display when reaching maximum capacity
