The Wizarding World
Spell Creation
Creating magical spells is a challenging task that requires specific skills and resources. Pupils need 30 experience levels (consuming 10) to write a spell, along with a book and quill and special ingredients for each spell. Teachers spend 15 experience levels on this, while Masters spend 20.
Magic Wands
Without a magic wand, it's impossible to cast spells. There are three wand levels: Pupil, Teacher, and Master. Each higher level enhances spells from the previous tier and unlocks access to more powerful charms.
Mana
For spellcasting, mana is required—a magical energy that can be obtained from various natural ingredients containing life force. There's also a mana generator that provides an endless supply of this energy.
Tier I Spells
- Fire Spell (Ingredient: Fire Charge) — shoots a fiery projectile that ignites the target. When using higher-level wands, 3 projectiles are launched instead of one.
- Lightning Spell (Ingredient: Lightning Rod) — creates a projectile that calls down lightning at the impact point. With higher-level wands, 2 additional projectiles are launched.
- Ice Spell (Ingredient: Packed Ice) — freezes the target, temporarily immobilizing it.
- Wind Spell (Ingredient: Feather) — launches entities into the air, causing fall damage. When used on a dispenser, summons a Spyewt.
- Bewitchment Spell (Ingredient: Poisonous Potato) — forces the target to move in the direction the caster is looking (horizontal only).
- Fungus Spell (Ingredient: Brown Mushroom) — creates a poison cloud that affects everything in a small radius.
Tier II Spells
- Remedy Spell (Ingredient: Milk Bucket) — removes all potion effects from the caster.
- Teleportation Spell (Ingredient: Ender Pearl) — teleports the nearest player within range to the impact point.
- Propulsion Spell (Ingredient: Slime Block) — launches the caster in the direction they're facing.
- Focus Spell (Ingredient: Sweet Berry) — enhances concentration on the nearest threat within a small radius.
- Night Vision Spell (Ingredient: Golden Carrot) — grants night vision for 60 seconds (can be extended by repeated casting).
- Extinguishing Spell (Ingredient: Water Bucket) — extinguishes fire on the caster.
Tier III Spells
- Combustion Spell (Ingredient: TNT) — launches a slow-moving projectile that explodes on impact.
- Levitation Spell (Ingredient: Phantom Membrane) — causes the target to float in the air.
- Healing Spell (Ingredient: Golden Apple) — significantly restores the caster's health.
- Adrenaline Spell (Ingredient: Warped Fungus on a Stick) — removes cooldowns for all items for a short time at the cost of damage and reduced speed.
- Penetration Spell (Ingredient: Dripstone) — fires a powerful projectile that pierces through multiple targets.
- Light Spell (Ingredient: Nether Star) — creates a wave of projectiles that turn into ghostly "ancestors" that track and damage the nearest entity. When used on a sea lantern, places an "ancestor's statue."
Book of Necronomics
With the Book of Necronomics, you can switch between spells (use Shift+RMB to change). Three levels of these books are planned for the future, but only two are currently available. Be cautious—some creatures react hostilely to the book's owner.
Book of Necronomics Spells:
- Wither Skull Spell — shoots an explosive wither skull.
- Summon Zombie — summons friendly zombies that follow and fight for you.
- Summon Skeleton — summons friendly skeletons.
Book of Necronomics II
- Gluttony Spell — significantly satiates the caster.
- Summon Scythe Spell — gives the caster a powerful Necromancer's Scythe with enchantments: Sweeping Edge 5, Smite 7, Sharpness 3, and Looting 3. The scythe has 2000 durability that gradually decreases.
Broomsticks
Using the "broomstick" item spawns a corresponding broom for flight. The Pupil's broom moves unpredictably and responds slowly to controls. The Teacher's broom is better but still has flaws. The Master's broom is fully controllable and problem-free.
Items and Weapons
Necromancer's Pendant
Rarely dropped by Necromancers. Disables the gradual durability loss of the Necromancer's Scythe. Deals 50 damage to all skeletons and zombies in range, turning them into summoned entities.
Necromancer's Blade
Occasionally dropped by Necromancers, deals 6 damage. With Smite 5 enchantment and Necromancer's Pendant in inventory, grants Strength 2 when held in the main hand.
Ancestor's Statue
Placed when using the light spell on a sea lantern with a Master wand in the main hand and book of light in the offhand. Damages all Despairs in a large radius.
Tome of Rapid Fire
Available only from master-level Wizarding Dealers. When used on a crossbow in the offhand, adds Quick Charge 5 enchantment.
Tome of Infinity
Only from master-level Wizarding Dealers. When used on a bow or crossbow, adds Infinity enchantment.
Replenishing Dish
Only from master-level Wizarding Dealers. Restores 10 hunger points (5 icons) with a long cooldown but never runs out.
Enchantments
- Attack Speed — adds haste level when holding the weapon (Level I — Haste I, Level II — Haste II).
- Tool Attack Speed — same, but for tools.
- Crossbow Infinity — provides an arrow with each crossbow use.
- Refreshing — has a chance to reset wand cooldown (Levels I, II, III increase the chance).
Entities
Wizarding Dealer
A villager profession that sells magical items.
Despair
Neutral entity that attacks only players with the Book of Necronomics. Can only be killed with the book of light.
Aggressive Despair
Aggressive version of Despair that attacks players regardless. Has more health, deals massive damage if players stay nearby too long. Spawns after at least one master-level spell is cast. Vulnerable only to book of light and ancestor's statue.
Spyewt
Stationary creature that can be moved when ridden. Periodically shoots wind spell projectiles. Summoned by wind spell on a dispenser. Also found naturally in Wizard's Towers.
Necromancers
Summons numerous armed zombies and skeletons when players approach. Randomly throws players around. Occasionally drops Necromancer's Pendant and Necromancer's Blade.
Unknown Sorcerer
A boss that can be summoned via NPC entity when equipped with necessary gear: Master wand and books of combustion, adrenaline, and healing.
Monoment Biome
The Monoment biome (intentionally misspelled) generates huge trees made of Tower Bricks and a tower of the same material. Tower Guardians frequently spawn here—very strong entities with 200 health that deal heavy knockback. Special blocks that replace Tower Bricks drop abundant loot (Tower Loot Stashes) when broken, including gold, mana, emeralds, totems, golden apples, and enchanted golden apples. The biome occasionally plays a melody. Tower Guardians also drop loot similar to Loot Stashes but with a more limited item set.
