SCP-096, The Shy Guy - A Terrifying Inhabitant of the Minecraft World
This modification introduces one of the most frightening creatures from the SCP universe - SCP-096, also known as "The Shy Guy". This entity represents a genuine threat to any careless player.
In its normal state, SCP-096 can be found sitting on the ground and quietly crying, covering its face with its hands. However, this peaceful picture is deceptive - if you look at it, its rage is instantly activated. From this moment, you have only a few seconds to try to escape, but it's practically useless.
Enraged SCP-096 becomes an unstoppable pursuer that will chase its victim to the end, regardless of where they go. This creature possesses incredible speed, can climb walls up to 10 blocks high, and destroy obstacles in its path. Its regeneration makes it almost invulnerable to normal attacks.
Behavior Features
SCP-096 appears in your world with eerie sounds, sitting on the ground and crying. As long as you avoid direct eye contact, it remains passive. But if you look at it, you instantly receive the "Shy Guy's Rage" effect. This causes SCP-096 to stand up, emit a piercing scream, and begin relentless hunting.
The creature has a colossal health pool of 1000 units, immunity to many damage types, and deals devastating damage. Its speed is so high that dust clouds form under its feet. However, over time, SCP-096 can disappear on its own.
Capture Mechanics and Items
To capture SCP-096, players can create a special Bag. To use it, you need to sneak up to the creature while holding the bag in your main hand and right-click, avoiding direct eye contact with the target. In the captured state, SCP-096 can be transported using a lead, but be careful - it can still become enraged if you receive the corresponding effect, hit it, or remove the bag.
Additionally, when some mobs die, there's a chance for a Disturbing Photo to drop. Using this photo will show you an image of SCP-096, instantly activating the rage effect and making you its next target.
Technical Requirements
For the mod to work, Geckolib installation is required. Versions are available for Minecraft 1.19.2, 1.19.4, and 1.20.1.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does SCP-096 spawn? SCP-096 can spawn anywhere in the normal world, like a regular monster. However, only one instance of this creature can exist at a time.
Why doesn't looking at SCP-096 or capturing with a bag work? If you're too far away (approximately 100 blocks), the gaze detection system stops working. For successful bag capture, you need to sneak up to SCP-096 while holding the bag in your main hand and not looking directly at it.
Why do spawn messages appear in the console? Mobs use special spawning conditions that are constantly checked, which creates corresponding messages in the console.
