The Desolator - Powerful Nuclear Weapon for Minecraft

With The Desolator mod, you will get access to the most powerful weapon of mass destruction in Minecraft! By creating this nuclear monster, you can clear a huge territory in seconds, albeit with performance loss.

Creation Process

To create The Desolator, you will have to go through a complex chain of crafts and actions, trying not to die from radiation in the process. The mod has its own achievements that will help you navigate the creation process.

Structure

In the Mushroom Fields biome, you can find a special structure - Mushroom Investigation. At first glance it's just a rabbit farm, but inside hides an interesting story to explore.

Blocks and Items

After The Desolator explosion, regular stone and deepslate turn into radioactive versions. Being near such blocks causes irradiation.

After the explosion, waste is formed - Suspicious Goop blocks and layers, which are also radioactive.

By brewing Sticky Goop with Awkward Potion, you get Potion of Desolation Immunity, lasting 5 minutes.

This barrel appears when fishing on Mushroom Island and is a radioactive item.

Created by stonecutting rabbit's foot and not very beneficial for health when consumed.

Obtained by brewing milk bucket with rabbit's foot bits. Removes effects like regular milk but adds unpleasant ones.

Radioactive version adds radiation poisoning effect when consumed.

Craft: 1 Gutted Milk Bucket, Nuclear Waste Barrel, Acacia Log, and Jungle Log.

Appears when consuming radioactive gutted milk bucket and is not radioactive.

Key component for creating nuclear TNT, obtained by irradiating iron ball in cylinder.

Created from yellow candle, copper ingot, black candle, iron bars, TNT minecart, redstone dust, amethyst shard, fissile cylinder, and blaze rod.

The Desolator

The main star of the mod! Activated by fire charge, flint and steel or redstone power. Using shears on active Desolator deactivates it.

The Desolator destroys an area about 250 blocks wide and 100 blocks high, filling the crater with burning magma blocks with netherrack and suspicious goop blocks. Goop layers spread far beyond the explosion itself.

Craft: 2 redstone dust, 1 piston, 2 nuclear TNT components, 1 sticky goop, 2 iron blocks, 1 netherite ingot.

Status Effects

Irradiated - green noise overlay, increased fog, greenish sky. Causes poisoning when taking damage. Can transfer to attacked or attacking entities. Damage every 6 seconds.

Radiation Poisoning - more deadly version, obtained from consuming radioactive bucket or being near explosion. Every 3 seconds deals rapid damage, ignoring invulnerability frames.

Desolation Immunity - protects from damage and poisoning from irradiation and radiation poisoning effects, but not from The Desolator explosion itself.
