TFCGyres-OreHints - Your Guide to Mineral Riches

I'm pleased to present a modification that will significantly simplify the search for valuable resources in TerraFirmaCraft. Now the process of discovering ore veins becomes much more intuitive and efficient.

How the Hint System Works

Indicator stones appear on the world's surface, serving as reliable markers for underground deposit locations. Their generation resembles the spawning of small nuggets from metal ores, but with an important difference - these stones clearly mark the exact position of veins directly beneath them.

When you notice suspicious stones in unusual locations, rest assured - true treasure lies hidden right underneath!

Version Compatibility

For Version 1.18

The new approach required integrating TFC's vein spawning data. Some deposits in this version were insufficiently large and too rare, so I increased their size, spawn frequency, and optimized their shape.

Coal veins now represent significantly more extensive horizontal seams with fewer inclusions of other rocks. Most other mineral resources became more common, and their deposit sizes doubled. Altitude restrictions remain unchanged.

For Version 1.20

Due to a fixed bug in TFC, disc-shaped veins won't be accompanied by indicators. This applies to both coal deposits and halite. Additionally, rich iron veins were added in mountain areas above Y-level 90, since ordinary iron deposits don't spawn at such depths.

This modification is perfectly suited for everyone wanting easier access to mineral resources without losing gameplay authenticity.
