TFC Passing Days
Addon for TFC that creates realistic seasonal variations in daylight duration based on the Z-coordinate and time of year. The mod simulates the actual behavior of day/night cycles observed in nature.
At the Z = 20k line, day and night durations are always equal, comprising 50% of the full day cycle regardless of the season. As you move toward Z = -20k, the situation changes dramatically - in summer, daylight can reach 90% of the time, while in winter it can drop to just 10%. The fluctuations become less pronounced as you approach the central Z = 20k line.
The system is symmetrical relative to the central line, so conditions of northern and southern hemispheres are simulated within the range from -20k to +60k. Beyond this range, the cycles simply repeat. Note that in the current version, seasons on the southern side (20k-60k) are not flipped as they realistically should be, but this feature may be added in future updates. Limitation: sunrise time remains constant every day.
Compatibility
- The mod is fully compatible with Minecraft's daylight sensors
- Player rest parameters are unaffected - sleep time and time skipped remain unchanged
- Blocks from other mods with in-game day/night logic correctly respond to the modified cycles
