Origins: Synthomorph

What is a Synthomorph?
A Synthomorph is a unique being with an initially incomplete genetic structure. For survival and enhancement of its capabilities, it must temporarily integrate DNA from other lifeforms, adapting their traits to its unstable nature.
Core Abilities
The chosen character gains access to both positive and limiting characteristics:
Toxin adaptation: The ongoing process of self-decomposition within the body provides resilience to poisons and wither effects. Genetic barrier: Each successfully integrated lifeform increases the character's natural armor protection. Reduced appetite: Repeated use of genetic material lowers the need for frequent eating. Instant protection: After DNA synthesis, incoming damage is reduced for a brief period. Semi-translucence: In the base form, the body becomes partially transparent with visible voids. Diminutive size: The original appearance is significantly smaller than a standard character.
DNA Integration Methods
Synthesis: The primary ability requires harvesting specific resources from mobs for temporary transformation. It's crucial to use items containing genetic information - common materials like iron ore won't work. During thermal processing (such as cooking), DNA becomes unusable. Disorientation: During the synthesis process, the character fully concentrates on the task, ignoring external events. Reverse transformation and limitations:
- Integrated DNA gradually decomposes, returning the character to the original form
- Physical activity accelerates this process
- Extended existence in the unstable form weakens and confuses the character
- After transformation ends, a fatigue phase occurs blocking repeated synthesis
- Due to constant body changes, using elytras and armor is impossible
Available Transformation Forms
The transformation process opens access to various ability combinations with the following properties:
Ender Dragon: Using dragon's breath for activation provides increased health pool and elytra flying capabilities. The body acquires a noble purple tint and slightly larger size.
Wither: Activated by the Nether Star, providing temporary boosts after defeating enemies. Characterized by impressive size and ancient magic, but damages surrounding terrain.
Spider and Ghast: Sticky webs and fire projectiles become primary weapons. The ability to climb walls or hover in air significantly changes tactical options.
Ocean: Squid, turtle, and pufferfish forms provide accelerated movement in water but require maintaining environmental moisture for health preservation.
Dungeons and Biomes: Enderman transformation enables teleportation, interaction with the creeper provides invisibility when hidden, and the glowing squid composition reveals night vision for surrounding entities.
Additional feature of many transformations - constant particle trails and ambient light color changes for easy recognition of the current form.
