Embark on a perilous seafaring adventure in search of legendary blades with this Minecraft mod that introduces cutlasses! These elegant slashing weapons boast superior attack speed compared to regular swords, though they inflict slightly less damage.

The new slashing weapons perfectly suit rapid combo attacks and confident enemy engagements. The knockback from sweeping strikes isn't as powerful, allowing for better combat field control without risks of sending foes flying too far away.

Minecraft's world now features five primary cutlass variants: iron, gold, diamond, netherite - all craftable through standard recipes - and the unique Gilded Cutlass. This special blade cannot be crafted; it's exclusively found as treasure in shipwreck chests and buried treasure chests!

For true collectors and dedicated gamers, the mod offers specialized enchantments and compatibility with popular extensions. The unique "Balanced" enchantment exclusively benefits cutlasses, increasing attack speed by 0.1 per each of its five available levels. Regular enchantments like Sharpness, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods cannot be applied to these blades, making "Balanced" the perfect alternative.

Beyond the five basic variants, the mod introduces 17 additional cutlasses compatible with eight popular content modifications. Each such blade possesses properties matching other items from their respective mod families.
