SurvivalPlus Lightsabers

About the Modification

The SurvivalPlus Lightsabers mod brings elements from the Star Wars universe to Minecraft by adding lightsabers to the game. Starting from version 0.1.4, the lightsaber can also function as a shield. To activate the lightsaber, use the right mouse button, and to deactivate it — Shift + right mouse button. Hold the right mouse button to block attacks.

Main Features

Lightsabers

The mod offers lightsabers in various colors: red, blue, green, yellow (from version 0.1.5+), purple, and white. Each color has its own characteristics:

• White saber deals 24 damage
• Purple saber deals 22 damage
• Regular sabers deal 20 damage

Lightsabers have additional functions:

• Attack blocking (from version 0.1.6+ blocks lightning, guardian attacks, and fireworks, from version 0.1.7+ — dragon breath)
• Igniting TNT (from version 0.1.4+)
• Cooking food dropped by killed entities (from version 0.1.5+)
• Drying sponges (from version 0.1.6+)
• Lighting campfires and candles (from version 0.1.6d+)

Darksaber

The Darksaber is the most powerful and rare variant with unique sound effects. It deals 30 damage and is the most difficult lightsaber to obtain.

Sound Design

All lightsabers are equipped with authentic sounds from Star Wars films, as well as the Clone Wars and Rebels series. When entering a world or server, the phrase "Hello There" is played.

Crafting Lightsabers

The method of crafting lightsabers depends on the Minecraft version:

• Versions 1.10-1.13: sabers are created through trading with Kenobi or Darth Maul villagers, who can be found in temple huts in villages
• Versions 1.14-1.15: a simple shapeless recipe using a hilt and corresponding crystal is used
• Version 1.16+: crafting is done through the smithing table using a hilt and corresponding crystal

Models and Textures

3D models for lightsabers were created by Sushi_Witch and are compatible with Optifine. New models are available in versions above 0.1.3 (Minecraft 1.12+). To get the original models or old rounded models (version 0.1.5 added cubed models), you need to download the corresponding resource pack.

Configuration

Starting from version 0.1.6b+, configuration of damage and attack speed for all types of lightsabers is available.

Compatibility with Other Mods

SurvivalPlus Lightsabers integrates with various technological mods:

• Industrial Craft 2 and Galacticraft (versions 1.10-1.12) are used for crafting recipes
• IC2 Classic is used in version 1.19+
• Compatibility with blocking systems from Sword Blocking Combat and Better Combat Rebirth mods (version 0.1.3+)
• Shield Parry is recommended for version 1.12 to deflect arrows and fireballs
• FutureMC and Netherite Mod provide fire resistance for the Darksaber (version 0.1.6+)
• Mo' Bends and BetterCombat add attack and pose animations (version 0.1.7+)

Requirements

The mod requires SurvivalPlus to be installed. A Fabric version is also available.

Supported Languages

The mod supports English, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Chinese (simplified and traditional) languages.

Minecraft Versions

The mod supports Minecraft versions 1.10 and above. The developer plans to update to version 1.20 after the corresponding Forge version is released.
