Superior Shields - Personal Force Fields for Minecraft

The Superior Shields mod adds personal force fields to Minecraft, reminiscent of energy barriers from popular games like Borderlands and Halo. Simply place the shield in the special Curios slot - and you're ready for battle!

Variety of Defense Systems

You'll find shields made from various materials - both standard vanilla ones and those added by other mods. Each type has unique characteristics and special abilities. For example, a netherite shield with the "Shield Capacity" enchantment can withstand even the most powerful attacks, while an electrum shield with the "Amplify" enchantment deals additional damage to enemies at the cost of a slight reduction in defense durability.

Automatic Regeneration and Special Properties

Your Superior Shield automatically regenerates over time if you're not taking damage. The delay before regeneration starts, recovery speed, and total durability vary for each shield and are displayed in tooltips when hovering the cursor.

Shields can be enchanted with special abilities: "Nova" activates an area of effect when the shield is completely depleted, while "Spikes" apply effects to monsters that attack you. Some shields, such as the Fiery Shield from Twilight Forest, already have built-in abilities in addition to being enchantable.

Compatibility with Popular Mods

The mod integrates with many popular additions:

• Various shields made from common metals in tech mods (tin, lead, bronze, steel)
• Thermal Series - A Flux Shield that can be upgraded at the Tinker's Workbench
• Mekanism - Shields matching each armor set, and an Electric Shield that runs on energy
• Immersive Engineering - A steel shield and the Engineer's Shield with recharge capability
• Botania - Mana-powered shields. The Elementium shield also boosts your fairy friends!
• Malum - Enhances magical potential for soul harvesting
• The Twilight Forest - Knightmetal, Fiery, Steeleaf, and Ironwood shields for protection during forest adventures

Full Customizability

The mod is fully customizable - all shields and their characteristics can be modified in the server configuration (located in the world folder), and you can also adjust the power level of enchantments.
