Super Minefish is a simple mod that introduces various fish and other sea creatures from the game Super Starfish into Minecraft. Each creature is inspired by real-world animals but features a creative, stylized design.
The mod includes themed tabs for each creature group—for example, the Pinchees category for crabs. While currently all fish spawn in deep warm and warm oceans, future updates will refine their spawning based on species-specific traits.
Development is ongoing: new mobs are added weekly, with plans to reach 4-6 in each group and around 100 creatures total. Future updates will introduce biomes based on starplants from Super Starfish, along with pearls for catching and transporting fish to aquariums.
The mod's popularity is growing: after hitting 50 downloads, the next update will add axolotls that occasionally drop Riches (more details to come). A Halloween-themed event is also planned! All creature designs are from Super Starfish by Protostar.
