Streamotes

A mod that allows using popular stickers and animated emotes from streaming platforms directly in Minecraft chat.

Main Features

All types of emotions are now available in chat: static images, animated stickers, wide-format emotes, and even overlapping variants. You can connect multiple Twitch channels simultaneously and use Tab key autocompletion for quick input.

Settings are synchronized between client and server through Fabric mod or Paper plugin, ensuring consistent display for all players.

Supported Sources

The system works with the most popular platforms: Twitch, BTTV, FrankerFaceZ, and 7tv.app. You can choose which specific emote sets to use.

Configuration and Management

Through Mod Menu or configuration file editing, you can specify specific Twitch channels for emote loading. Global sets can also be disabled as desired.

Important note: for proper operation, the channel owner must create a profile on 7TV and link their Twitch channel to it, even if 7TV emotes are disabled!

After changing settings, game restart is not required - just execute the /streamotes reload command, which will update the configuration for all players (works in single-player as well).

For better emote display, it's recommended to set line spacing in chat settings to 100%.

Downloaded emotes are stored in local cache within the Minecraft installation. If any sticker was modified, use the /streamotes force-reload command to force refresh all emotes.

Paper Plugin

The Paper plugin allows synchronizing emote settings with clients that have the mod installed. Players without the mod won't notice any changes.

Server configuration is stored in the same format and location as with the Fabric mod (config/streamotes.json5).

The plugin also supports hot reloading of configuration through the /streamotes reload command, which requires operator privileges or xeed.mc.streamotes permission.

Forge Support

Official Forge support is not planned, however Sinytra Connector has been proven to work with this mod on NeoForge.

Modpacks

Use of this mod in modpacks is permitted. If the modpack is hosted outside of Modrinth, a link to this mod's Modrinth page must be included in the modpack description.
