This mod revives the legendary Straw Golem for modern Minecraft versions, offering players an adorable and helpful farming assistant.

Automated Farming

The little straw golem becomes your reliable ally in farmland management. It automatically harvests mature crops, plants new seeds, and carefully stores the produce in designated containers. To assign a specific chest for storage, simply hold Shift and right-click the golem first, then the container while having an empty hand.

The system supports all types of crops from other mods and handles pumpkins, melons, and other stem-grown vegetables excellently. You can configure white and black lists for crops through configuration files.

Life Span

Each golem is created with a 7-game-day durability (value can be changed in settings). Life span gradually decreases when performing heavy work, being in rain or water - such situations deduct additional durability points.

Extending your assistant's service life is simple: feed it wheat. Each wheat unit restores a quarter of a game day. The golem's health level directly depends on the remaining life span - with 3.5 days left, its maximum health will be only one heart.

You can monitor the golems' condition through the HWYLA mod or by their appearance: the older the assistant becomes, the more signs of wear appear, and completely old specimens have flies circling around them.

Nutrition and Mood

Straw golems love apples! If you hold this fruit in your hand, they will happily follow you. Without feeding, assistants begin to experience hunger every 2 days (interval is configurable), after which they sit down and sulk, waiting for a treat.

Each received apple gives them another day of well-fed life before the next hunger attack.

Interesting Features and Threats

Iron golems sometimes show curiosity towards their straw counterparts and may pick them up for inspection. Farm animals also don't pass by - sometimes they might take a bite of straw, so keep an eye on your assistants' health!

Raiders pose a particular danger, attacking straw golems with special cruelty. Don't forget to organize reliable protection for your farming helpers.

Configuration Flexibility

The mod is designed considering modpack creators' needs and offers extensive customization options:

• Configuration of white and black crop lists
• Individual enabling/disabling of harvesting, replanting, and delivery functions
• Adjustment of crop detection radius
• Modification of basic life span and hunger parameters with ability to completely disable
• Configuration of the golem tethering system
