The Straw Golem Reborn mod introduces players to an adorable farming assistant - the straw golem. This cute creature can independently harvest crops, plant new seeds, and deliver collected produce to a nearby chest.

Creating the Assistant
To create a straw golem, position yourself near the beds or farm where it will work. Place a carved pumpkin on top of a hay bale (or carve a pumpkin already placed on a hay bale). After a brief contemplation about the meaning of existence, your new helper will begin searching for mature crops to harvest.
Chest Usage
After harvesting crops, the golem automatically searches for a chest to store collected items. It's recommended to place a chest nearby the farm and monitor available space for future harvests.
- The golem usually finds an accessible chest on its own
- With multiple chests in range, it chooses a suitable one independently
Lifespan
The straw golem has a limited service life:
- Every 10 minutes there's a 20% chance of decay starting
- Total of 4 decay stages - from new to dying condition
- Rain and being in water significantly accelerate the decay process
- The golem shivers when in rain or cold
- For rain protection, you can create a straw hat
- Serious damage also leads to destruction
- Life extension is possible by feeding wheat, which also restores health
As old age approaches, visual changes to the golem's texture appear, flies may emerge. Maximum lifespan gradually decreases.
Behavior
- The golem is characterized by shyness and tries to avoid contact with players
- It's attacked by raiders and runs away from them
- Sometimes becomes the focus of farm animals and also runs away
- When fleeing, drops items it was holding in its hands
Configuration
The mod offers extensive customization options. Users can enable/disable additional features (lifespan, hunger, etc.), configure the list of processed crops, adjust life and hunger parameters.
Compatibility
The mod is initially compatible with most modified crops. Works well with information display mods such as HWYLA, WTHIT and Jade, allowing you to see the golem's health, hunger level, and remaining days of life.
