Stratum

The Stratum modification introduces a system of modifiers for crafted weapons in Minecraft, which are called stratums. These special properties are not completely random - the chance of getting a beneficial or negative stratum directly depends on your character's level.

Stratum System

Every crafted weapon automatically receives one stratum. At level 20, the probability of getting a positive and negative modifier is equal. The maximum chance of getting a good stratum is achieved at level 40 - further level increases do not improve this probability.

Stratums can affect various weapon characteristics:

  • Attack damage
  • Attack speed
  • Attack range
  • Movement speed
  • Swim speed
  • Luck

Forging Station

Forging Station

A special forging station is used for working with stratums. With its help, you can add new stratums or reroll existing ones. The character's level is also taken into account when determining the quality of new modifiers.

A weapon can have a maximum of two stratums, except when the "Ordinary" stratum is present - then a third slot for modifiers becomes available.

Rerolling one stratum costs 1 diamond. If a weapon has two stratums, both are rerolled simultaneously. Adding a new stratum to a weapon costs 1 netherite ingot (if the weapon has no stratums, you can simply use rerolling).

Using commands, you can create weapons with additional stratums by adding corresponding tags to the item. For example: "minecraft:diamond_sword{Demonic:1,Lucky:1,Fast:1}"

The mod is compatible with all modified melee weapons (provided they are properly tagged)

Armor support is not planned - a separate mod is being developed for this. In the future, new attributes such as experience gain and lifesteal are planned to be added, as well as additional stratums using these characteristics.
