Squake - Quake-Style Movement Mechanics for Minecraft

This modification completely reworks the movement system in Minecraft, adding elements from classic shooters like Quake, Team Fortress Classic, and Fortress Forever. If you're looking for more dynamic and high-speed gameplay - this mod is for you.

Main Movement Capabilities

The mod introduces several advanced movement techniques that dramatically change the gaming experience:

• Bunnyhopping - ability to gain speed by properly jumping while running
• Strafe jumping - jumping technique with direction changes in mid-air
• Air control - improved maneuverability while airborne
• Trimping - special mechanic that converts horizontal speed into vertical momentum when jumping while holding Shift
• Sharking - gliding across water surfaces while holding the jump button

Technical Features

The acceleration and movement control system is based on physics from the Half-Life engine, ensuring smooth and predictable character behavior. By default, bunnyhopping speed is unlimited, but settings allow for Fortress Forever-style speed limits - soft and hard caps.

A key feature is maintaining speed when taking fall damage (requires mod installation on server).

Compatibility and Requirements

For Minecraft versions below 1.12, PlayerAPI Core is required. All versions require Minecraft Forge installation.

Important: The mod is not compatible with Smart Moving due to conflicting movement control systems.
