Spells Gone Wrong (Iron's Spells N Spellbooks)
About the Modification
Spells Gone Wrong is a configuration addon for the Iron's Spells N Spellbooks mod that allows customizing spell behavior. With proper configuration, magic usage requires greater skill and caution.
Requirements: Iron's Spells N Spellbooks 3.1.1+ (supports Minecraft versions 1.19.2 and 1.20.1)

Configurable Features
Damage from Own Spells
Activating this feature allows spells to damage the caster when used incorrectly. For example, summoning lightning too close to oneself. This increases the skill level required for safe magic application.
Unstable Black Holes
Black holes can become unstable and explode before the spell duration expires. The explosion damages nearby blocks and players. When the spell disappears, explosion particles also appear inside the black hole that do not cause damage.
Ice Trails from Ice Blocks
Ice blocks create slippery ice patches on the ground and water surface when shattered. Existing ice turns into packed ice.
Glowing Targets from Firefly Swarm
Fireflies apply the glowing effect to everything they hit. Combined with the damage from own spells feature, this makes the spell particularly dangerous when used close to oneself.
Enhanced Holy Spells Against Undead
Holy spells deal additional damage to undead. With the Consecration mod installed, they also apply weakness to undead creatures.
Mana Potions Rework
Option to disable mana potions and replace them with a new item - mana shard, which provides an alternative way to restore magical energy. Both options can be active simultaneously.
New Creeper Spells
- Creeper Shotgun: Fires three creeper heads in a fan pattern
- Nuclear Creeper Strike: Launches a nuclear charge filled with creeper heads

Acknowledgments
Special thanks to user dreadnews for the idea of damage from own spells. This project was originally conceived as a commission but it was decided to expand the functionality and make it a full modification.
Also thanks to Yirmiri for creating textures for some of the mod's sprites.
