Sodium - Graphics Optimization Mod
Sodium is a powerful client-side modification for Minecraft that significantly increases frame rates, eliminates micro-stutters and fixes numerous graphics issues in the game.

Unlike other rendering-focused modifications, Sodium features wide compatibility with the modding ecosystem while maintaining the authentic look of blocks and environment.
Installation Guide
Sodium is available for various mod loaders, however we recommend using Fabric Loader as the most straightforward and performant option. If your game launcher supports automatic mod loading, simply place the Sodium file into your "mods" folder in the usual way.
Installation Check: Open the Video Settings section in-game - an updated interface with enhanced settings should appear.
Mod Configuration: By default, all optimizations compatible with your system are enabled. You can adjust performance settings as needed when troubleshooting issues.
Additional Optimization: Sodium only works with the rendering system. For comprehensive performance improvement, we recommend installing our other developments: Lithium (game logic) and Phosphor (lighting system). Combined usage will deliver maximum results.
Hardware Compatibility
Graphics cards with OpenGL 4.5 or newer are officially supported. Effectively compatible with all hardware suitable for running vanilla Minecraft (requires OpenGL 3.3). Specific models include:
- Intel HD Graphics 500 series (Skylake) and newer
- NVIDIA GeForce 400 series (Fermi) and newer
- AMD Radeon HD 7000 series (GCN 1) and newer
! Important: Be sure to keep your graphics drivers updated. Outdated versions lead to rendering errors, crashes and performance issues.
Reporting Issues
If you encounter any failure, use the issue tracking system with information about mod versions and system specifications, including log files where appropriate.
Note that actual performance improvements depend on your hardware specifications. Performance comparison examples provided are based on configuration: Intel Core i7-1165G7, Intel Xe Graphics, Fedora OS.
