Snow Under Trees (Fabric)

This mod solves a small but noticeable problem in Minecraft - the absence of snow under trees in snowy biomes. Now, when new chunks are generated or during snowfall, snow cover will appear under tree canopies, creating a more realistic and harmonious winter landscape.

How It Works

The mod automatically adds snow under trees only in biomes where the temperature is low enough for snowfall. Regular forests and other warm biomes remain unchanged. The mod is also compatible with custom biomes from other modifications.

Required Components

For the mod to work, you need to install:

• Fabric API
• Cloth Config

Configuration Settings

All parameters are configured through the snowundertrees.json5 file, which is located in the config folder of your .minecraft game directory or on the server. After changing settings, be sure to restart the game.

Available options:

• enable_biome_feature - disables snow generation under trees when creating new chunks
• enable_when_snowing - disables snow appearance under trees during snowfall
• filtered_biomes - allows excluding specific biomes from the mod's operation by specifying their identifiers (for example: minecraft:plains)
