MT Snoring Sound
A Minecraft Fabric modification that adds realistic snoring sounds for sleeping players and village inhabitants.
Features
- Spatial audio: Snoring sounds are played directly at the location of the sleeping entity, creating a three-dimensional audio effect
- Dynamic volume: Sound level gradually decreases with distance from the source (audible up to 10 blocks)
- Age-based differences:
- Child villagers produce higher-pitched snoring (pitch 1.5-3.0)
- Adult players and villagers snore at lower pitches (pitch 0.8-1.3)
- Random intervals: Snoring occurs at random time intervals from 2 to 10 seconds for natural variation
- Client-side only: No server installation required
How It Works
The mod uses Fabric mixins system to add snoring behavior to player and villager entities. When a creature is sleeping, the modification:
- Tracks each sleeping entity separately
- Plays snoring sounds at random time intervals
- Adjusts pitch based on the entity's age (child or adult)
- Calculates volume based on distance from the player
- Uses Minecraft's built-in spatial audio system for realistic positioning
